Many people ask me: 'For study-abroad prep, what should come first?' I say: finances, academics, and adjustment are usually tangled together — you can't focus on just one. What I can do is lay them out with you, and try to sort out the possibilities, one by one.
Finances I won't promise to save you money, but I've seen quite a few students — through a combination of scholarships and suitable work-study opportunities — cut their financial pressure by roughly 50%. It isn't easy, but if you're willing to try, we can look into it together.
Academics I don't do assembly-line tutoring. If your English isn't quite ready yet, we can build an improvement plan from wherever you're currently starting, one step at a time. And if you're already well prepared, I'm happy to try with you to see whether early admission in Grade 11 and advanced college coursework in Grade 12 might be possible — such cases do exist, though they need the right timing, circumstances, and effort from everyone involved. We'll do our best.
Adjustment I can't shield you from every moment of loneliness, but I'll do my best to introduce you to local peers, teachers, or friends. They may not solve every problem, but they often bring a bit of warmth to an unfamiliar environment, and slowly make a new culture feel within reach.
I specialize in international education planning. Reach out, and I'll walk this path of international education together with you.
