The help Mr. Mai gave me was never just about university admissions. He is truly a mentor who protects his students wholeheartedly and walks alongside them as they grow.
Hello everyone, I'm an incoming Fall 2026 freshman at Andrews University in the United States. Standing at one of the most important crossroads of my life, I feel truly fortunate to have received the help of Mr. Mai, an international education consultant. His professionalism, responsibility, and kindness opened the door to a much wider world for me.
This past January, as a 12th-grade graduate of an international school, the pressure of choosing a university had been weighing on me for a long time. Studying abroad, I had no connections and no confidence to risk trial and error — applying to a university in the United States felt completely out of reach for me at the time. Overwhelmed by confusion and indecision, I followed my family's advice and settled on an international university in Thailand, beginning the long and tedious application process.
After three full months of running around and preparing, the application to the Thai university was finally settled. Watching my classmates still anxiously rushing about over their university choices, I secretly felt relieved that I could finally let go of the tension and truly enjoy the last stretch of high school. During that time, I completely "lay flat" — aside from my essential responsibilities, I stopped adding any pressure on myself, thinking: isn't it nice just to stay close to home?
I thought my path to further study was set in stone. But fate always has its surprises, and everything changed just yesterday.
With only a month left before high school graduation, the school suddenly announced some news: Mr. Mai had connected with a cooperative program at Andrews University in the United States, offering scholarships and an on-campus work-study option that could greatly ease the financial burden. But for me at that time, this excellent opportunity seemed to have come a bit too late. At that point, no matter how I looked at it, this wonderful piece of news seemed prepared for the younger students below me. That was the first time I felt that being a soon-to-graduate student had become the biggest obstacle on my path to further education.
My heart was torn apart. On one side was reluctance and anticipation: "What if there's still time to try? There's still more than a month left — if I seize this chance, my life path and résumé will be rewritten." On the other side was: "It's only a month left, why add more pressure on myself? Thailand is close to home — isn't it nice to stay safely by my parents' side?"
The two voices kept pulling at my mind. After much deliberation, I called my parents and honestly told them my excitement and my worries. They hoped I could have a better education, yet they also worried about me traveling alone across the ocean to study. After careful thought, they told me: "Be bold and ask. As long as Mr. Mai says it's feasible, go for it bravely."
Carrying my family's encouragement, I finally gathered the courage to contact Mr. Mai. At first, I felt a bit timid. I had heard that Mr. Mai was decisive and highly professional and efficient. I deliberated over my wording again and again, and only sent the message once I was sure it was just right.
Mr. Mai showed no trace of indifference. Right away, he patiently explained the university application and the pros and cons of the program, while sending me a well-organized checklist of application materials. The whole process flowed smoothly — truly professional and efficient.
I promised Mr. Mai that I would submit all the application materials within four days. After saying it, I felt a twinge of regret, wondering: could I really prepare all these materials in four days? But once I'd made the promise, I didn't dare slack off for a moment, rushing between various websites and school offices, working day and night to put the materials together. Mr. Mai patiently answered the many questions I ran into along the way, which put my once-timid heart at ease.
After more than ten days of waiting, I successfully received my acceptance letter, and the heavy stone in my heart finally settled.
What moved and touched me most was that, for the sake of the students applying in this group, Mr. Mai specially traveled all the way to the Americas to meet and communicate with the university in person. Once, I ran into a problem and asked Mr. Mai for help — it was already the middle of the night in the United States at the time, yet Mr. Mai promptly solved the problem for me. That moment gave me a much deeper understanding of the title and profession of "teacher."
After returning home following high school graduation, I began handling my visa, and Mr. Mai continued to follow up throughout, keeping a constant eye on my progress.
From something as major as choosing a university to something as small as teaching me the basics of CCing an email, the help Mr. Mai gave me was never just about university admissions. As an international education consultant, Mr. Mai also taught me to be kind and sincere in how I treat others. He is truly a mentor who protects his students wholeheartedly and walks alongside them as they grow.
I feel so fortunate that, on my path of pursuing an education, I met an international education consultant. This is not just a company that provides study-abroad services — it truly considers students' futures, offers the most suitable path, and wholeheartedly helps fulfill every student's wish to study abroad. I sincerely thank the international education consultant team for their support and help along the way.
